Our team had an exciting time at ARCIA - Australia's radio and critical communications Association Perth 2025, where our VP of Sales, Technology, and Operations, Sohan Domingo, shared insights on how AI, IoT, and LoRaWAN are revolutionizing fire prevention, risk mitigation, and climate resilience. Dryad’s solar-powered sensors are already in action, detecting smouldering fires early and delivering real-time, long-range insights to help industries protect assets, reduce economic losses, and move toward a net-zero future. If you didn’t get a chance to connect at ARCIA Perth, we would love to continue the conversation. Let’s explore how advanced sensor networks can support your industry and build a more resilient future. Dryad Networks is excited to be part of ARCIA Perth 2025. Sohan Domingo, vice president of sales, technology and operations, will reveal how artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and long-range wide area networks (LoRaWAN) are changing the way industries detect and respond to fire risk. This is not future tech. These solar-powered sensors are already operating in the field, picking up smouldering fires and delivering long-range insights from remote environments. From forestry to utilities, this is a smarter, faster approach to asset protection and bushfire resilience. Join us at Aloft Perth on Thursday 3 April and be part of the conversation. #ARCIA2025 #AI #IoT #LoRaWAN #wildfiredetection #climatetech

Wildfire detected. Drone launched. Disaster prevented. That’s the future we’re building at Dryad Networks, and it just took a huge leap forward. TechRound covered the public debut of Silvaguard, our autonomous wildfire response drone, in Eberswalde, Germany. The demo showed how, within minutes of detecting smoke, Silvanet sensors triggered a drone flight that pinpointed the fire and delivered real-time imagery. With wildfires intensifying worldwide — costing lives, ecosystems, and hundreds of billions in damage — the urgency is real. We believe early intervention is the key, and Silvaguard is our answer. Thanks to all of our partners for supporting this bold vision. 🔗 Read the full article in the comments. #wildfireprevention #drones #ai #climatetech #forestry #greentech #silvanet #silvaguard #xprizewildfire #earlydetection #autonomousdrones #disasterresponse #techforgood

Milestone Alert: We’ve just taken a giant leap toward autonomous wildfire suppression. Today in Eberswalde, Dryad Networks successfully demonstrated the first fully functional prototype of our Silvaguard drone system, an autonomous drone that responds to wildfires detected by our Silvanet sensors, providing real-time aerial monitoring. Here’s what happened: A controlled fire was instantly detected by our Silvanet sensor network. In response, a Silvaguard drone launched autonomously, flew to the fire’s location, and captured aerial optical and infrared footage, marking a major step toward fully autonomous wildfire response. This is the first step: ➡️ Silvanet detects. ➡️ Silvaguard responds. But soon: ➡️ Silvaguard will also extinguish. With wildfires becoming faster and more destructive, we can no longer rely on slow, manual responses. This integrated system is a first step toward drones that extinguish fires before they spread. A big thank you to everyone who joined us, including Lindon Pronto of the European Forest Institute and to our partners helping bring this vision to life. 🔗 Link to full press release in the comments. #dryadnetworks #wildfireprevention #silvanet #silvaguard #dronetech #climateadaptation #innovation #iot #autonomousdrones #firetech ⸻

Wildfire detection is a race against time. This new peer-reviewed study makes that clearer than ever. A comprehensive new paper published by ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) confirms what we at Dryad Networks have long advocated: the incipient stage (or smoldering phase) of a wildfire is the most critical window for intervention. Once flames pass this, suppression becomes exponentially harder, more dangerous, and more costly. The study compares all major detection technologies — from satellites and drones to camera networks and ground-based sensors — and underscores the unique strength of localized sensor networks in detecting fires before they spread. 🌲 We’re proud to see Dryad’s Silvanet system featured as one of the leading examples of this approach, enabling ultra-early detection through AI-driven, solar-powered gas sensors deployed directly in the forest. The key takeaway? No single solution can solve this crisis alone. A system-of-systems approach, combining spaceborne, airborne, and terrestrial technologies, offers the most promise. And we believe Silvanet is the bedrock of that architecture, especially in the high-risk wildland-urban interface (WUI). 🔗 Link in comments #earlydetection #wildfireprevention #climateaction #foresttech #ai #iot #wildfires #dryadnetworks #sustainability

Today, we celebrate the life-giving power of forests — not just as carbon sinks and biodiversity hotspots, but as vital ecosystems for food security, livelihoods, and resilience. Did you know that more than five billion people around the world use forest and non-timber forest products for food, medicine and livelihoods? But these vital ecosystems are under threat: 🔥 10 million hectares lost to deforestation annually 🔥 70 million hectares impacted by wildfires At Dryad Networks, we’re fighting back with ultra-early wildfire detection and real-time forest health monitoring to protect forests before it’s too late. Because when we lose forests, we don’t just lose trees. We lose food. We lose safety. We lose the future. Let’s protect what protects us. #forestday #internationaldayofforests #foodsecurity #forestsandfood #sustainability #wildfireprevention #dryadnetworks #forestinnovation
